The making of a mural

I painted this mural in the summer of 2019 at my aunt and uncle's house on Alki Point in Seattle, WA. My mom had passed away the previous summer and my Uncle asked me to create something with her in mind. She left Seattle for Southern California happy to be leaving the cold damp winters behind her. I decided to bring the California sun she sought to Alki with the hope it would brighten those quintessential gray, dreary Seattle days.

Check out the the West Seattle Blog for an article written about the mural. If you would like to watch the creation of the mural from start to finish take a look at this amazing video by Danny McMillin.
